Just like the damn division. We lead the entire way only to lose it in the last few weeks. This game is very much a microcosm of that.

This team is not mentally tough enough or talented enough.

Rangers were gonna lose and we were gonna be 1.5 back starting off the homestand right

This team doesn't believe it can win anymore. And they don't believe in each other, as evidenced by altuve's selfish at bat last night with 2 on and nobody out. Every one of them wants to be the hero instead of passing it to the next guy. The manager is not helping matters. I'm so sick of these damn shifts that just put us in the wrong positions.

No question this team has lost confidence in themselves.

Hopeless. How many in a row now set down by this vaunted Oakland pitching staff.

And Seattle gets out of the jam. Thanks Fuld and Pat, we just blew a chance to gain a crucial game.

a 6 pitch 8th inning from the top 3 in our lineup against a guy with 9 career innings.

Rangers will have one more shot at the Mariners down 3-1.

6 pitches from this 32-round rookie. Where is our rookie phenom in the bullpen? Oh wait, he got beat out by a veteran neshek, who seems to be having many unfortunate innings, ashby.

It's over. That home run was the dagger. Sorry for my lack of optimism but nothing makes me believe this team can correct itself. I said aover a month ago this team would either find itself, especially on the road, and run away with the division or it would finish not only second but 3rd or 4th. Unfortunately, it's looking like the latter. Seattle could catch us too.

Are you really that surprised? He's been doing it just about every appearance over the last month.
