Jabroni
Astros win the series!

Gotta keep winning series but its time to get greedy and sweep tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the last chance to play an inferior team for awhile. Would be nice to enter the line of fire off a sweep.

I'd love for the Astros to thump the Rangers and get back into contention for the division.

Probable pitchers for the series per ESPN
Griffin/Keuchel
Lewis(? he pitched tonight in AA)/Fister
Holland/musgrove
Gotta take 2/3 with those matchups

Naturally he gets back just in time for an Astros series.

That's gonna be tough. And its basically entirely because we can't beat the frickers this year. The Rangers could go a fairly pedestrian 12-18 over their final 30 games and finish 90-72. We'd have to go 21-9 to top them.

Need to go balls out to win tomorrow. Would be 71 wins. We would need 16 wins in sept. To get to 87 which I believe will be enough to get in. They can't go 4-9 over the following stretch against 1st place teams.

I like Colby too... But he hasn't exactly lived up to justifying his QO. Doubt he gets one this year.

2-11 vs Arlington. 2 and fricking 11.
shite if we didn't play like a Single A team against them all year and had managed even a 5-8 record against them this year...
Rangers 75-57
Astros 73-59

If this team wants to make the playoffs, they're going to have to really want it looking ahead to probably pitching matchups, they're not favorable.
9/3 Colby Lewis (we're his bitch)
9/4 Derek Holland (he sucks but LHP)
9/6 Cory Kluber (3.07 ERA 9.1 K/9)
9/7 Carlos Carassco (3.23 9.3 K/9)
9/8 Danny Salazar (10.3 K/9)
9/9 Jake Arrieta (2.84 ERA)
9/11 Kyle Hendricks (mlb best 2.07 ERA)
9/12 Cole Hamels (2.91 ERA)
Thats 2 former Cy Youngs, 2 guys who figure to be in the mix for Cy Youngs this year and a few other guys who just strike out a bunch of batters.

Local media talked about it earlier this morning....
Mentioned that Houston would have to go 21-9, something they haven't done all-season over a stretch and Texas would have to play .500 ball before tonight and we just won and that's just to end with the same record I believe.
