Here's to another performance similar to his last
Let's remember how awful game 1 in the Yankees series went while we got shutout...let's turn it around and score 15 again

Jose Altuve is in the Astros' lineup, and batting .352 in 25 games this month. He's a lifetime .365 hitter in 12 games against the Twins, who hand the ball to Mike Pelfrey (6-7, 3.69). Facing Houston for the first time since 2013, the right-hander is 1-0 with a 2.91 ERA in his last six starts. However, he lasted 4 2-3 innings while yielding three runs and nine hits during Sunday's 4-3, 12-inning victory at Baltimore. Pelfrey is 4-2 with a 1.97 ERA in 11 home starts.

I said going into yesterday this weekend would be really interesting, we haven't played very well in these monstrous ballparks that negate our ability to hit Homeruns. This trend worries me in a potential playoff series at Kansas City.

We can still break the curse by winning this series

Thankfully, I didn't watch last night's game.

This will be first time in a decade that very little of my focus is on football at the beginning of September

Now, he has a fourteen game hitting streak and is hitting .336 in Lancaster and .300 overall for the season. Hows an .872 OPS look? Over the last ten games, he's hitting .472.

He'll never play up at the big league level.

Wat what?
I keep up with FCS also...I don't know if the McNeese logo doesn't give it away.... but ND St. Has won 4 straight National Championships.....time for them to lose a little bit. I want to watch a a possible upset

You came into DAT talking about how Astros pennant race baseball is less important to you today than August FCS football.

That's what happens when the Astros are a winning team.

Dear Jeff Lunhow,
You've done an awesome job with the Astros. We can't thank you enough.
But your obsession with keeping Chris Carter around is fricking your team. He is now officially costing your team chances to win in as many ways as possible (shite at the plate, shite in the field AND injured your best player).
Please stop with the insanity and cut him loose. If he becomes good with another organization, we won't blame you. Worth the risk.
Regards,
Astros fans (the sane ones and not the asslickers on one site in particular)

Pretty clear it's more than just "sore" and they're trying to avoid losing him for 15 days.
Posted on 8/29/15 at 3:30 pm to dhav14
Have they given any indication on how long Castro will be out?
Posted on 8/29/15 at 3:37 pm to dhav14
Ouch. We'd be hard pressed to get worse at catcher but now Conger (currently on an 0/21 skid) is the starter and the other guy is hitting .211 at AAA.

We should make a move for a catcher while we've still got time to get him eligible for the playoffs
