The only reason that makes sense is they are stalling until the trade deadline because moves are coming. Bregs will get starts in the outfield in the meantime.

It would amusing if they kept him in the minors until next year's date for extra year of arb. I might would literally melt.

24th in payroll. They aren't investing in winning the WS. They only want a few more butts in the seats and a few more eyes on the tube. They won't take financial risks to be the best.

You don't want me posting. I moved to Houston 8 years ago. I started to switch full allegiance to Houston sports as my kids were growing up here... But everyone sucked. Now the rockets and the Texans showed they were willing to do what it takes to get to a championship... Especially the rockets. They take risks and try to make moves. Houston got lucky with Watt. They should have gone after Peyton. Anyways they are trying. The Astros aren't. They use the excuse of "building the farm system" to be cheap. They should have spent serious dollars last year when they were in the hunt to show the fans appreciation for supporting through very very very lean years. But they didn't. And they won't this year. No excuse. One of the largest markets in baseball and they act like they are Montreal.
