With Sunday's win, the Astros improved to 2-14 when Devenski pitches.

Typical DAT. Focus on the negative. Wins feel like losses....

Focus on negatives and never mind that the Astros are 26-13 since May 17th

But we're all JUST KIDDING and the trick is to not take life so seriously!

Doing what I did the past two days, which were wins. Don't change what works.

Also, in general, sorry you don't have much of a sense of humor. Internets iz srs bsns.

Yeah I don't understand the overwhelming negativity in here all the time. We can certainly be frustrating, but we are playing really good baseball in May & June. 27-19 in those two months. We could easily be back above 500 by the ASB a just a couple games out of the WC. You would think we are 10-12 games below .500 and continuing to lose series' from this thread

Yeah, the Devenski usage has been interesting as the last guy in the bullpen. Eating innings when losing is a thankless job.

Since the team has been in a position to win a lot in the late innings lately, perhaps Devo will get more chances as a setup man when the other guys are over worked if the good play continues.

Ace on the mound, can't lose. We will sweep and be above .500 after this series. Probably win 15 in a row while we are at it.

You look at the schedule ahead through the trade deadline, and you have to believe the current winning pace can continue.

In all, 34 games until the deadline. Let's go 23-11. We'll be 57-47.

Ready? Break!

Yep, most of our game until the all star break are against teams that are either bad or have been playing like crap lately. 6 w/ LAA, 3 KC, 3 CWS, 3 SEA, 4 OAK. So that's 19 games, 12-7 or 13-6 would be a very good stretch. We are getting to the point where the division is looking like a long shot, but a wild card spot can still be had.

12-7 is very realistic with our schedule and we could end up doing better. That puts us at 46-43. KC has the second wild card spot at 38-31 right now for reference so we could be a couple games back if they play 500 ball.

Texas is just playing way too well think about the division right now.

Yeah, I suspect the McCaigs will trade for a starter and a closer to make their run at the WS. Bright side like last year for us is, make the playoffs and win one game (wild card), and you're right where you want to be anyway.

If we get the WC and win it you know who we will get to play in the ALDS I will be very pleased with us just getting back to the wild card game this year considering how disastrous this start was. The future is extremely bright still, we just need to start to fill in the rotation and lineup around our young core (Altuve/Correa/George). And I think a lot of those guys can be found internally.

Imo if this team gets to the playoffs it was a successful season. Get in the dance and anything can happen.
