Astros look to finish their trip to Chi Town on a winning note with Vincent Velasquez making his major league debut against 2-6 Jose Quintana

In other news that was announced yesterday but might have been buried, Jonathan Villar was optioned to AAA to make room for VV.

Welcome to the show Vincent

We need to score more than 2 runs.

We are now just 2.5 games ahead of the 2nd place Texas Rangers. Hopefully we can tee off on this 2-6 White Sox pitcher tonight. We need Springer Dingers, Carter Bombs, and Correa Crushes.

It's baseball. Ebb and flow. As long as Luhnow keeps bringing up the young talent, there will be plenty more wins.

I really hope VV stays healthy because he is TOR good.

We need more offense that just Carlos Correa. We need the offense as a whole to wake the hell up. We are a feast or famine team and now it's all famine.

This team's best baseball of the season is still in front of them.

A. We're nowhere near as bad as we've looked in these last 10 games.

B. Even when we were winning & streaking, we weren't especially playing great baseball.

its the perfect storm of events right now. The bullpen isn't as stellar, the rotation is getting no run support, and nobody is hitting. These things are bound to come around for these guys.

So you are saying we will trade for some legit hitters to play 3b...1b...cf?

No. I'm saying those guys won't slump forever.

Except for maybe Carter. His whole career has been a slump

I go on vacation and the team shits the bed mightily. Love the moves that took place, though. Time to get going again.

In a dream world my lineup would be
1.Springer RF
2.Correa SS
3.Altuve 2B
4.Gattis DH
5.Tucker 1B
6.Castro C
7.Valbuena 3B
8.Rasmus LF
9.Marisnick CF

I want a better dream. Put an OBP speed demon like Kemp in LF and let Rasmus platoon with Jake in CF. And lets dream Lowrie to be healthy to play 3B.

But you are going to make some DAT peeps mad for suggesting Tucker to 1B, even while dreaming.
