If you read that quote from lunhow last night they put on the air it doesn't sound like he cares too much about winning this year. Sounds like he's content to run this out there and see where he is in late July before considering any moves. I think the starting pitching is in danger of running the team into the ground at this point. You can't have three out of five starts going 4 or 5 innings every tien through the rotation without killing your bullpen.

My thought is that if he doesn't want to go for it this year then why not call up singleton and Correa and let them play and get experience now.

It's not a popular opinion but I absolutely agree with him. This year was a surprise. Wait until Super 2 to call up Correa. If we are still in the thick of things (first place and not fading), I say at that point you consider going for it.

I don't want to start dishing out prospects to try and go for it this season. I don't think this team is there yet. I think if we can sign another top of the rotation guy this offseason, next year could be our year to really make a run. Correa will have some experience. Lowrie will be at third. I think we will be even more improved next season.

Singleton is a touchy subject. He's really cooled off. 0-16 in the past four games. Carter is starting to hit the ball better. Luhnow seems committed to Carter, which means there really isn't a place for Singleton.

Fricking Quintana man.

Starting pitching needs to be addressed now. Not at the deadline. If this year isn't the year to go for it, then look at low cost low risk options to improve the rotation. We have several guys in AAA that have played significant time in the show that we can trade away.

Of those five losses, three have been by one run and another in extra innings. I'd hold off on the shite talking.

LOL please.

Anyway, who's available in the pen after extras last night for us.

And for them? The Sox pen must be a bit thin today.

Still have 2 games in May left, but here are some slash lines for this month:

Tucker .315/.393/.556
Villar .296/.345/.370
Gattis .268/.298/.608
Springer .254/.398/.493
Castro .246/.290/.462
Gonzalez .246/.246/.361
Altuve .240/.306/ .360
Rasmus .227/.280/.480
Carter .207/.304/.402
Marisnick .177/.205/.241
Valbuena .170/.220/.351

Springer and Gattis have improved a lot from April, Carter is maybe making progress, Altuve has struggled, Marisnick and Valbuena have been bad. Tucker is just flat out good, and Villar has been solid recently from the right side

Neshek had a pretty efficient inning so I would think he's good to go

Many of the things being said about Tucker right now are the same thinks being said about Marisnick just a few weeks ago.

Marisnick is not nearly as bad as he has been playing.

Hopefully the Tucker we've been seeing is the long-term numbers he can deliver.

We all know that we're too reactionary on everyone, good and bad. It's a loooooong season. That being said, I can actually see Carter's name in the lineup these days without gagging.

Please don't compare tucker and marisnick if you thought what Marisnick did the first 4 weeks was who he was I can't help you. Tucker is a.different animal.

This is the guy that said Delino would supplant Altuve going into last year
