Astros are obviously on a downward trend after a loss to Cleveland last night if you read the DAT. TEXAS will be taking over the lead soon and we, as fans, arent sure where to go from here. Fires takes the mound today, so the offense will have to keep up today.

A true adaptation of MLB discussion:

Didn't fiers do relatively well last time he faced Cleveland? Like 5ip 4 runs?

Anyway we got this one

Is there any recent news on Jabroni's return?

I believe I read on Twitter they still don't have a timeframe for him.

I know one poster in here thinks jabroni is done and I'm starting to join that train of thought

That adaptation is glorious.

It's funny, because it's true.

ETA, McHugh is still throwing on flat ground. His long toss is at 75 feet. He says he needs to be throwing at 100 feet before he can get to the mound. At least another month before he is game ready.

JL said in a recent interview he anticipates having him back after the all star break. Assuming he doesn't face any setbacks.

So I was perusing the farm this AM and noted the corpus score. We got the win but the thing that stood out to me was Rogelio Armenteros. Ive occasionally seen his name but the kid is dominating Corpus. 22 yo 1.25 ERA .181 opp. average and a WHIP of 1.

Hes done it at every stop along the way so far.

Honestly, that's probably the line for 90% of Fiers starts it just seems emphasized since it's always in the form of 3-4 crushes homers

Astros to place Dallas Keuchel on the 10 day DL with a pinched nerve in his neck. He will miss one start

ETA: move is retroactive to Wednesday

Also, Left-handed reliever Ashur Tolliver is coming up from Triple A to take Keuchel’s spot on the active roster.

ETA2: Astros haven’t yet said who’ll start Monday in Keuchel’s place but the fact they called up a reliever suggests it will be Peacock.

I wonder if this is why he came out after only 70 pitches the other night. Has to be, huh?

Let's be honest. If it's a little issue, and Keuchel is back pitching next weekend, it's all good.

If not, welp...

I assume this is just temporary bullpen help and someone else will replace him to make a start?

Morning gents. My thoughts about yesterday/today:

1. I shouldn't have to say this, but there's obviously no need to panic. We lost one game against a really good team last night. Sure we've lost 3 of 4 to them this year, but they are the best team in the AL IMO. I guarantee you these 2 teams will meet in the ALCS.

2. It sucks that Keuchel is going to the DL, but we must thank our lucky stars that it isn't serious. He'll likely only miss one start, and it could have been much much worse.

3. With the Indians hitting 3 HRs off of Morton last night, expect those numbers to double against Fiers. We're going to have to score A LOT of runs today if we want to win this game.

4. Right now, Aoki needs to sit the bench for a few games. I really do like Aoki, but he's struggling a bit. He has no power, little speed, and he's not a tremendous hitter. His best thing is getting on base and he hasn't done that lately. Should replace him with Marisnick. At least he has been spreading it across the field when he bats.

5. How the frick does Bauer continue to dominate us? He's so fricking bad against everyone else, with like a 7.00 ERA this year, yet in his career he has about a 2.50-2.60 ERA against us? I don't fricking get it.

Either way, today's a new day and even though we have the Home Run King Fiers on the mound today, I still think we get back to winning today.
