Can't go 1-161 if you never get that 1!
Here are some fun facts about last nights win:
-The Astros are responsible for four of the last seven no-hitters
-Espada became the first skipper to have his first MLB managerial win come as part of a no-hitter
-The Astros became the fourth team to get their first win of a season in a no-hitter
-Blanco’s no-hitter was the earliest by date in MLB history
-Yainer Diaz is the first catcher to catch a no-hitter while also having a multi-homer game
ETA: Some non Ronel Blanco/no-hitter tid bits. Luis Garcia threw 15 pitches off of a mound yesterday. Sounds like he is progressing very very nicely and a tick or two ahead of schedule. JV had a positive 52 pitch sim game and will head out for a minor-league assignment starting this weekend, seems like he will be back by EOM.

I'm prepared to retire Diaz's number after last night.

clearly we need our starters to pitch 9 innings in order to not blow leads

What a game last night! Of course, we probably get 1 run for Framber today.
frick Off, Dusty Baker for not giving Diaz a chance at ROY!
Let's hope Framber has found the strike zone somewhere inside his bag o'dicks.

Let's hope the 10-run curse doesn't happen today

Now that we won our first game, we aren't losing another one the rest of the year.
158-4 coming right up!

Last night was great but got me angry about Diaz riding pine last year all over again.

As good as Blanco was, it was nice to see the offense break out. Hopefully, they start to score runs consistently.
Also need Framber to go 6 or 7. This bullpen isn’t going to work well starting their night in the fifth inning just about every night.

It's the key to everything. 2022 bullpen threw 36 fewer innings than any other team. Right at 3 innings per game.
By complete coincidence... they also led the league in ERA, K/9 and shoved it up the league's arse in October.
That's why I love JV. Even when he's off, he'll grind through 6 innings and save the pen because he knows that's the job.

JP France placed on paternity list. Dylan Coleman recalled. I hear he's walking from Sugarland. Heyoooo.

shite. I had erased Dylan Coleman from my memory

Did y'all see that Maton is doing the Lord's work and taking care of business against Garcia yesterday?
(I mean, in reality, his control sucked arse, but I'm choosing to believe it was intentional.)

I’m about to walk in the ballpark for the first time in a long while. Can’t wait! We need to score some runs early tonight.

always nervous after a 10 run game..add to it a no hitter
here's a test does the team just come out and do what they're capable of doing
if so ,, the first 3 games don't matter
if cold
sell everyone
