Who's to say Luhnow is already not happy with the offense?

Luhnow won't hesitate to call up Appel and Correa if necessary

Appel can kick it the minors but I am getting pretty excited to see correa.

However I doubt we will be competing for anything this year so might as well wait till they are ready

The first call up needs to be Stassi because frick Conger.

No way. Stassi is definitely not ready. Conger had a terrible first game. But, Gattis had a terrible 3 first games. Wojo had a terrible first game.

The entire Astros team had a terrible first 3 games (with exception of Keuchel).

It was the first series. Relax guys. They will settle down and over the next couple of weeks, we'll see what they've really built this off-season.

I had great seats for the game yesterday. My thoughts -- Gattis was fooled on every pitch. I'm not talking about every at bat he got fooled. Every. Damn. Pitch. He seemed to be trying to guess what the pitch was going to be and guessed wrong. Over and Over. Even the few times he got some wood on the ball, he seemed surprised. I don't think he was prepared for these AL pitchers. That has to go on the hitting coach. After the fourth K yesterday, he truly looked to be in tears when he was at the dugout.

No way is this team going to suck this much arse all season.

The only bright spot of yesterday was that my son finally got a foul ball (Springer's first pitch of his second AB). I was looking forward to getting the umpires to sign it after the no-hitter. Of course, the Astros even fricked that up by getting a hit in the ninth.

All in all, we had a great two days watching the Astros. Wednesday was the Crawford boxes - fun experience, but I prefer to sit behind the Astros dugout.

BTW -- Carlos Santana is a really cool guy. Every inning the Indians took the field, he would toss the warm-up ball to a different kid in the stands over by first base. Any foul ball he stopped also got tossed to a kid in the stands. In between innings he would talk over to different kids, wave, stuff like that. Truly seemed to be a cool guy. Anyway... that's my story.

frick the Rangers.

At this pace the Rangers will be 81-81 with 162 home runs.

Unfortunately that means Jon the Moron will get to remain GM.

They're gonna need Appel more than Correa this year. The back of the rotation is hurting. I think Valbuena and Lowrie on the left side of the infield are going to be fine.
