First off, Matt has never been known for his stick, it's always been glove work. It was a pleasant surprise last year when he launched 21 long balls. He hasn't improved over last year which is disappointing but he's still only 24 (25 in a few weeks.) Carter is 27 still trying to figure it out.
Oh, and Ryno, I've been telling this board for months to give Carter (or Karter as they like to call him) time, it's hard to find players with raw power like him. I'd hate to see us give up on him just to see him put it together somewhere else next year.
