Qyen isn't starting. Tyren Alexander had a lingering knee injury in the later part of camp, people speculated he would have started if not for the knee.

Tyren was on his way to starting but I think he got slowed down by injury. Qyen is backing up one of the inside linebacking spots but we're probably going to rotate about 8-9 linebackers this season. A lot of talent

I thought Qyen was a pretty good RB early last year. Seems like we could use him in short yardage if Alonzo is run down late in games.

Yeah I liked Qyen but I think the coaches just wanted him to get on the field more than he would have because Alonzo was the superior back and work horse.

He played pretty damn well at linebacker at the end of the season last year so I'm excited. We have 4 former SEC guys on our defense this year plus some pretty impressive young guys.

I'll be surprised if the defense isn't much improved.
