Yep, a one word thread title because i know you guys love him…I know some of the MSB hates Cowherd because of his condescending delivery. I get it. But I’ve listened/watched him for years.

Probably my favorite…..

I don’t watch or listen in the summer because he doesn’t really cover or know much about MLB. Most of his summer stuff is about off season NFL and NBA stuff…

With all that said, I just can not understand the infatuation this guy has with Aaron Rodgers and Baker Mayfield. It seems like 75% of his shows have some sort of segment or half his show has something to do with mostly Rodgers.

What the frick is this guy talking about? He’s gone on a tangent this morning about talking about psychedelics and how “thousands of Americans have died from psychedelics by taking too much of them.” Even my wife in the other room came in here and asked “wtf did he just say??”

You know how someone can lie about something for so long that it becomes their reality?

This guy does this with some of the narratives he cooks up. He obsesses over them and they become his identity so any chance he can bring it up and take a W, he does.

His absolute slobbing over Saban and Alabama is most satisfying because it comes after he spent a couple years claiming they were absolutely finished even being good as a program. I mean he went HARD on that narrative and it has backfired so unbelievably hard.

I only watch him when Joel Klatt comes on once a week during CFB season. They really need to give Klatt his own show.

What’s wrong with what he said? Rodgers coming out about taking psychedelics to help him, might cause people to try and self medicate with psychedelics, all because he said great things about them. It is dangerous to take psychedelics. They can frick you up so bad, you’ll wish you were dead. Maybe Rodgers should be more quiet about those kinds of things. People should only take them in a medical setting, or under medical supervision. Now people are going to do them recreationally because a big superstar talked about how much he loves them.

Cowherd has had a "hate boner" for Rodgers for at least 5 years now, it generates clicks and views.

Was listening to the Herd just now on my ride back from lunch. He called Kyler Murray a Hall of Famer.

I like Colin, but he’s turning into a shock jock.

Aaron Rodgers is an amazing QB. He’s not likable, but if you study QB play you realize he is a natural. Rodgers does thing naturally that other QBs have to train for years and still cannot do as well.

Rodgers makes the job seem easy, he truly doesn’t even look like he tries or cares. If you think about it, he is pretty fascinating.

He rode pine for 3 years behind a Hall of Famer, he worked on his mechanics during that time and became the best regular season QB in the NFL.

He has a man crush of Aaron i think

The Baker conflict is classic
And he hates him some LSU

Is the program a "mess" as he claims?

What’s the problem with what he said about psychedelics? It’s absolutely true. It’s not even an anti psychedelic take, even those who swear by them are aware they are very powerful and can have terrible outcomes if not careful. Talk to an ED who works shifts in a psychiatric emergency pod.

Does Colin say the same thing about when Rodgers reviews the scotches he likes?

Cowherd is so phony. They use each other for attention. Cowherd acts pissed that Rodgers is trying to get attention, while making his living reporting on Rodgers.

Cowherd is unlistenable. He constantly pumps the LA sports scene and bashes Rodgers. He's stuck.

Over what time period did "thousands of Americans die" from taking them? They are extraordinarily non-toxic substances. It is true that one shouldn't consume them willy nilly (and it's very obvious that Rogers DID NOT do so).

It's absurd drug war clutching of pearls that no doubt would never surface if Rodgers talked about an epic night binge drinking having put him in a good headspace. Literally tens of millions of living Americans have had their lives materially negatively impacted by alcohol, yet I'm guessing Cowherd is no teetotaler terrified of this horrifically dangerous substance. Ironically, psychedelics are an extremely effective way of dealing with substance abuse. The founder of AA actually was healed himself with LSD prior to starting AA. Nobody likes to hear that.

It’s completely reasonable to talk about the actual risks, but if he did say that a bunch of people are dying from them, then he’s instead spreading fear-mongering misinformation.
