This makes me SO hard. Cowherd literally followed that up with how we live in a "gotcha" media society with sites like Deadspin and other sports blogs. Then went on to say how people were going to take those comments out of context, i.e, you.
Exactly. You know what's going to happen? Some suit at ESPN is going to pull him aside and tell him to be more careful. And that will be that.
The guy flies solo on a radio show several hours a day. He's trying to say interesting, provocative things to keep people listening. He's going to say stuff that looks bad out of context.

Cowherd is really bad radio. He's just dreadful. I'm not even talking about his schtick, which is also dreadfully terrible. He's just the worst.
I'd rather listen to Jimmy Ott talk about bets all fricking day than listen to Cowherd talk about anything for five minutes.

It wasn't a slip. If you are a sensitive type and scream racism every chance you get, yeah I can see people just hearing the word white and flipping out.
He was basically saying look, Oregon is a wonderful state, great people... But lets face it they are mostly white so they won't be any higher than a 4 seed.
If you take the same people who are being retards about this, and have them choose between a basketball team of all black players or all white players, I'm pretty sure they will all pick the black team.
Black people are predominantly better at basketball, it's fact. Just like Oregon is mostly white people, it's fact. This is a non-issue people will make an issue.

I think some people view it better because usually the more white people, the less crime. I for one live in the middle of the city and enjoy the diversity. Living in the suburbs around a bunch of white folk sounds boring.
