South Alabama just knocked off Miss State in Starkville. They face Georgia Southern tomorrow, and that will probably be their toughest test until November 19th when they go to Tiger Stadium.

No, I'm not predicting an upset of LSU. But I do think South Alabama is an interesting program to watch right now. Joey Jones is an excellent football coach and has been since his days at Mountain Brook High School in the Birmingham area.

Here's their remaining schedule:

9/10 Georgia Southern
9/17 @LA Lafayette
9/24 Nicholls
10/1 San Diego State
10/15 @Arkansas State
10/20 Troy
10/29 Georgia State
11/5 @LA Monroe
11/19 @LSU
10/26 @Idaho
12/3 New Mexico State

Makes me wonder if a smaller Power 5 school would pick Jones up if he can finish the season with just one loss.

will probably lose tomorrow against Georgia Southern.

don't have a good track record against Arkansas St either and I could even see a loss to ULL.

we've never won on the road against them but they've never won when they've traveled over here to play us.

you should see the home crowds at our games then. People make excuses that Ladd Stadium is in the ghetto and that they wont support the team b/c of the home stadium location.

but that's just a bullshite excuse, the Senior Bowl sells out every year plus people even stop by to watch the practices during the week.
