Lamar Jackson is the best player in college football and it's not close.

He's might be the best offensive player. Defensive players just don't get serious consideration.

Jackson racked up a lot of stats against some of the crap teams on Louisville's schedule. Of course, he was spectacular against Florida State, too.

He's not more deserving. They just lost to Kentucky. Simple case of crowning a guy who put up insane stats on cupcakes and didn't beat anybody except an overrated Florida State

Shoot give it to Jonathan Allen. Dude has been insane this year. Or Watson.

It's not like Jackson is playing with five star talent either.

I'll give you Watson as the winner but it should be Allen. To me, Allen was the best player this year but Watson was the best skill player. We know the guys who matter the most never get enough credit.

Because an ACC guy who isn't in the playoff won it? GTFO.

Even if Allen wasn't invited, he wasn't going to get serious consideration given the lean towards offensive players.
