Noel should have won ROY. Some of the best defensive numbers from a rookie ever. He is a monster on that end.

Willie is different. He doesn't have the amazing timing Noel has or the quick hands to force a bunch of steals, but he is a better athlete. I need to find the SBnation article I read yesterday about he can guard ANYONE.

I think he is going to surprise a lot of people with his offensive game.

Okay I thought this story sounded familiar

Woj last summer right before the draft on Julius Randle: LINK

quote:

University of Kentucky forward Julius Randle, considered a top 10 pick, likely needs surgery on his right foot after the NBA draft in June, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The procedure is expected to keep Randle out six to eight weeks this summer, sources said, but there's a strong expectation within front offices that he'll be cleared for the start of training camp in the fall.

In this scenario, Randle would miss rookie summer league in July.

Then of course Randle played in summer league and was fine.

quote:

As a high school senior in Texas two years ago, Randle missed three months with a fractured right foot. There was a screw placed into his foot that needs to be removed as a precautionary procedure

That is what made me think of this WCS story

Oh for sure. He's got a great stroke, and he will get plenty of points off put-backs and such.

People seem to think that Okafor's hookshot points count for more or something, and that they make up for his defensive problems.
