Injuries? You think potentially getting injured is a bigger risk than what he's currently doing? He hasn't even been assured he'll be allowed to enter this year given he still has eligibility remaining and needs to get an exemption.

Just telling you to look at all angles. How close are you to this situation? I have a feeling he has talked to coaches about this. And if what the poster said about being kicked off the team is true, then this is a no brainer.

He's talked to the coaches and he wasn't gonna be kicked off the team but he would be disciplined.

I get it, yal don't understand. The dude is 6'7, athletic as hell and a natural 300+. He's been told his entire life he is the prototypical LT which he is. He's never put in the work and always looked for the easy route. He saw this as the easy route. Sad he couldn't see that with a little work he'd be a multi-millionaire.

Even if he did do it solely for the kid, yes it would be inarguably stupid to take a risk like this (which the supplemental draft absolutely is) instead of staying a year, graduating and going into the draft.

What if he got hurt next fall and couldn't play again, and his shot at pro football was ended forever? Would it still be stupid?

At that point all he'd have to fall back on is a clemson education

LSU is too busy winning recruiting national championships. They're getting t shirts printed with Ole Miss and Tennessee

The whole "it's for my kid" thing is just to coverup the fact that he's never been committed and been in trouble with team rules in the past. Even if he did do it solely for the kid, yes it would be inarguably stupid to take a risk like this (which the supplemental draft absolutely is) instead of staying a year, graduating and going into the draft. He cost himself a lot of money and the scholarship to finish his degree. It's a shortsighted decision that's idiotic and has nothing to do with football.

I think you are missing the point. The kid was likely being kicked off the team and suspended for a number of games again. That's why he's leaving.
