it would be funny to see the goldennugget put a spin on this one.

he's probably back already though trying to fly under the radar with a new name.

Dodgers will choke again

St. Louis will probably get to World Series purely based on the fact they won't have to face SF in October

I'll be pulling hard for Pitt or the mets to beat St. Louis

I said last year that Kershaw will go the way of Mark Prior, getting an injury and fading into obscurity. A bunch of people called me an idiot, but it looks like I could get the last laugh.

Kershaw is pitching like a backend of the rotation guy so far this year, and it looks like there is no end in sight. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go on the DL soon, whether he is hurt or not, to try and work things out

Plus he is probably being messed with mentally by his daddy Bum... kind of like how Urban Meyer was mentally tortured by Saban and had to get away.

Why are the Giants so horrible at defending their titles? All 3 times they've won in recent memory they've looked bad the following season

They really aren't that great of a regular season team. They've won more than 92 games in the regular season once since 2010. That's not bad, but for a "dynasty" it's not very good either.

Their 2012 team was the best team they've had. 2010 team was very solid. 2014 team had no business winning it all.

Ya I know. It's just weird that they seem to only bother showing up every other year. Strange pattern considering most of their core players have been there for multiple championships, it isn't like hockey or football where a salary cap forces teams to retool after championship runs

Pretty crazy how my 70m payroll Astros swept and no-hit your 370million dollar payroll. We can't beat the lowly Mariners.

Greinke is great, and definitely deserving, but I'd go Kershaw. Greinke has him in ERA 1.59 to 2.18(depending on how much stock you put into that stat. IMO, it definitely is a good indicator), their WHIP is close .85 to .9, but where Kershaw really separated himself is with his strikeouts-251 to 159. He's just so damn dominant. I wouldn't mind if Greinke got it though. Looking at Fangraphs, they're both in the top 10 of almost all advanced stats.

I found myself this season watching a lot of Dodgers games for 3 reasons: Kershaw, Greinke & of course Vin Scully. Thank you MLB.tv. I'm not a Dodgers fan, but those 3 make it hard for me to root against them.

ETA: They probably both have about 5 starts before the end of the regular season, so there's still some time for one to pull away.

LOL 92(2010) wins= not bad. They also won 94 in 2012 and 88 last year

I will concede that a big reason they won last year is because Bochy is the best in the biz at handling his staff, in particular the bullpen.

Without Panik, Pence, and Crawford a formidable lineup becomes very shitty. The future is bright tho with Belt, Panik, Crawford, Duffy, and Posey all with several years ahead of them

He only forced the most swing and misses since pitch f/x starting recording it

He was straight dirty last night. I think in like the 8th inning(might have been 7th) Krukow said he had 24 swing and misses. And 17 of those had come since the 4th inning

I was bummed cuz Leake and Bumgarner both threw great, but Grienke and Kershaw were better

ETA Brandon Belt and Byrd probably accounted for over half of those missed swings
