Mike Olt still not ready to play even though he was originally penciled in the starting lineup last night.

oof. I'm guessing still no better word on lastella other than 'side strain'? Well...maybe we will see Bryant on April 17.

Arrieta has owned the Reds.

If Desclafani doesn't throw 8 innings, we lose.

That's bad luck for Olt. It would have been great if he would have gone nuts to start the season.

That answers that question. Lastella to the dl Rosscup called up. I like the move for this game as the bullpen has been worked hard in the early going but would've like yo see a position player (not named bryant) otherwise.

Good I'm glad they did that. Absolutely no point in continuing to waste a roster space for a guy like La Stella.

The Olt thing is getting kind of strange. Pinch hit Sunday and then was penciled in last night and then last minute decision to sit him and not in there tonight.

OP really needs to add 'Sploosh', 'Whopper', or some such word to the thread title. Hottest team in baseball right now, and more cavalry is on the way!

I like La Stella. He is worth a roster spot at this point if healthy.

Very good player I agree, I was saying it isn't worth keeping him on the roster if he is going to be out for 7-10 days. Shelf him. If it were rizzo or soler it would probably be worth not shelving them is all.

Castro sucks!!! He was just being lazy throwing the ball over to first to catch Bruce in that pickle.

Ok gotcha. In that case, it is not worth keeping 95% of players active who Would miss 10 games. I thought you meant La Stella was not worth a 25 man roster spot.

Hahaha he should have gotten Bruce out with only one throw. Horrible run down.

I would vote for Maximus to never post in a Cubs game thread again.

Hah.

Geeze Jake nothing really hard hit. That feels unlucky. Wish he'd beaned phillips for pimping that double that broke up his no hitter last year. Really I just wish everyone threw at phillips though.
