I've been to 2 games at Camp Randall, and while Madison is a lot of fun, I prefer more traditional tailgating over pregame bar hopping.

I'm the same way, though I will say that being able to land at a house party near the stadium is awesome.

A buddy of mine owns a place four houses down from the entrance to the Big House and it's a damn blast there. You still get to be across the street from the people tailgating in the lots and fields.

How does one end up at a house party as an away fan?

I'm assuming you don't just walk up and ask nicely.

I think just start chatting up some of the folks there and maybe get to a resident who invites you in. Probably not great chances. How’s the scene? Looks like shitty weather.

It’s going to be high 30s with no rain and light winds. I’ll take that weather.

Here on Regent St in the shadow of Camp Randall, prefect football weather. Upper 30s, the town is lit. Lots of costumes. Should be a great environment.

Halloween on State Street used to be a bacchanal.

For games like this I always try and enjoy the hell out of pregame. Fun may stop quickly once that ball is kicked

Some snow flurries west of Madison.

May get some during the game.

Of the stadiums I've been to

1. Ohio State
2. Wisconsin
3. Iowa
4. Minnesota
5. Indiana
6. Purdue before the new renovation

I love camp Randall

You’ll see at kickoff why I ranked Camp Randall where I did.

Dude I’ll take that weather for the end of November in Madison. The whole playbook is open.

I really enjoyed the Columbus blend of tailgating and barhopping.

Then again, I went to school there for 6 years.

So I’m biased.

Were you before or after Papa Joe’s on High Street? Now that was a good time.

I was on Summit and 13th in the early to mid 2000s. Papa’s was no more. But we were able to still navigate and do pretty well.

My roommate’s car got tossed and torched on chittendon in 2002 after the Michigan game.

Go bucks.

Wife is an LSU grad, btw. She thought she grew up in the epicenter of cfb. Then she went to Columbus. Kowtow’d in an appropriate way.

The fact that we have a goddamn hype man is enough to knock us down another notch.
