I notice some of the embarrassingly low averages of others are starting to rise just a bit ever so slowly. What better time to get that going than with the Brew Crew coming to Wrigley today.

Hopefully we can take care of business today. I like Montgomery against the Brewers. Ground ball pitcher against power.
If we could some how manage to win the next 4 between now and the All Star game I would be thrilled.

This isn't a team that's gonna win it all this year so let's not get crazy trading away valuable pieces. Let's just make some moves like getting another Montgomery type pitcher and build for the future. We've got these guys under club control for a while so it's not like our window is closing this year.

If we can at least get our youngsters on track again (schwarber and addy!) and figure out logical steps to improve starting pitching this team could once again be lethal next year.
Hopefully this is just an adjustment period for the guys and not a flash in the pan.

I wouldn't say we are out of it. We have a lot of baseball left to be played. Things can change quickly.
With that said, I'm not very encouraged at the possibility.
