Funny thing is they just about missed their spot again. 10 walks and counting.

So the Cardinals needed to hit Rizzo twice because they thought our pitcher intentionally hit a guy with a runner on base in a one run game?
Sounds like you and Belisle are both pussies and don't know jack shite about baseball to me.

Who's acting like a bitch? I expected it would happen especially once we got a decent lead.

No. I dont think anyone thinks it was intentional. Thats not the point.

Did some of you just start watching baseball?

Thats cool. At least someone understands. If the situations were reversed I would expect a Cardinal to be hit as well

Seriously, if our guys are throwing at people with one on in a one run game of this magnitude, I'm more pissed at our guy for putting another runner on.

I didn't see it but I'm willing to bet my next paycheck it was unintentional.

Just making sure I understand baseball's ridiculous unwritten rules. So if a pitcher accidentally hits a batter, the other team is supposed to intentionally plunk one of theirs?

ETA: Or try to, as it were.

He beaned Holliday. You are gonna get some retaliation for that. Same is true if it were Rizzo that was beaned. A Cards batter would get plunked.

Im not saying its good or bad, its just the way baseball is and has been played.

If that's the case we'd probably lead the league in hit batters

How many times has Rizzo been hit in the head unintentionally this year?

Cubs fans are such pussies and don't understand baseball, but they can be forgiven since they've had such shitty luck with success for the past several decades/generations.

We shouldn't be too hard on them.

They're doing good! They're only 6 games behind the Cards assuming they win today!

Exactly. I'm trying to remember if we've plunked someone every game which rizzo gets hit (which is just about every other).

I don't recall that being the case.

My understanding of it was that it's based on intent. Clearly this was not intentional, and if that's known, I thought there was no retaliation. And I thought the cards and their fans like to think they're always on moral high ground.

Ahhhh...so now we're fine tuning the location of the unintentional hit batter. Any other specifics we need to know from the "Tony LaRussa's "Yes, you bean them in retaliation"" scorecard?

So if and when the cubs meet and beat the cards in the playoffs this year, will you disappear, or will you come here and melt so we can taste your tears?
