When everyone was saying Charlie Strong had Texas "back" after the Notre Dame win, I pointed out that his defense was still suspect for a supposed defensive specialist. When any given team in the Big 12 can put up 40+ on you in a hurry, I knew he was still on the hottest of seats.

Texas would owe Strong $10M still if they fire him after this year. They're also still paying part of Mack Brown's buyout and looking at having to settle the Bev Kearney lawsuit. Factor in the buyout and the >$5M salary they'd have to pay the next coach and I doubt they get rid of him this year. They've got a lot of big money boosters but you're talking about a serious chunk of change there.
