Sure. There would have been 9 teams from the "East" and only 7 teams from the "West" this year.

The teams in the west beat each other up all year. The teams in the east do the same.

If you put Houston in the east where they play east teams more than west all year, do you honestly think they end up with the 8th seed?

If Toronto plays in the west, are they a 2 seed?

I do fear that many are focusing too much on the smaller playoff sample and GS could easily beat CLE in 5, but I certainly hope I'm wrong and we see a great series.

In 5? That's just weird to hear. They went 6 vs Lebron and a D-league squad. Kyrie gave Steph fits in that one game he played on one leg.

GS is tough to stop but they'll have trouble with Cleveland as well. GS's defensive efficiency is not what it was last year.

The regular season doesn't mean very much to the teams who make it in the post season. I'm sorry you can't understand that
How successful you were in the playoffs leading up to the Finals don't always mean very much either.

That Spurs team was 10-0 after 2 games into the WCF. The team that won it all that year was 10-3 to the same point, not to mention losing their next 3 games to go to 10-6.

You'd think the Spurs rolled to a title, right?

HOU was 28-24 against the West and 13-17 against the East.

The east is better than the west from 5-8 and the west is better at the top. Cavs being 10-0 is pretty legit regardless of who they have played.

Hawks had a better record vs the West too.

It doesn't really work like that though.

GS didn't really know how to adapt to CLE completely revamping their offense after Kyrie went down. Once they did, we saw them win 3 easy games. After that, they coulda played 10 more and IMO GS woulda ran CLE out the gym in most of em just like the last 3.

I just don' think you can say they went to 6 last season with no Kyrie/Love, so this season that automatically means it either goes 7 or CLE wins.

Lakers.....just shut up with this meme. And you further prove my point that LeBron and his teams raise their level of play in the post season. If Spurs were facing any other team not including LBJ, they likely win a championship.

The bottom of the west was down right pathetic.

Houston had a losing record in the east. Houston is garbage no matter where you put them.

They didn't win 3 games easily. How about you go back and watch the games and not look at the end score.

It's much more logical than saying GS wins in 5 easily when they have lost a game vs far inferior opponents every series. It's not just Kyrie/Love. They have a fresh team, a way better team than last year, and way better chemistry.

Yes bc im sorry but records dont tell the whole story when the teams you've face in the playoffs thus far have best players that go by Andre Drummond,Paul Millsap, and Kyle Lowry

vs Warriors who faced James Harden,Damian Lillard, and kevin durant/westbrook

The level of competition lebron and co are running through is laughable. Sure the Rockets were an 8 seed, bc they were a full blown dysfunctional mess, the pistons played about as good as they can play and were the 8 seed. Its completely different.

Kyrie was playing injured. He sat out like 2 games in the Hawks series.

Kyrie was injured. There was a lot of talk asking whether Kyrie should have been allowed to play in game 1 of the Finals and if his previous injury had anything to do with the Finals injury.

Yes, he was hobbled in game 1.
