Parkview ended so many of our seasons that I almost converted, so it's nice to see the Catholics notch a win here.

Pass from 11 yard line to back of end zone. Ball snapped with 4 seconds left.

Parkview had taken a 4 point lead and CHS had the ball back with less than a minute left, starting at the 36 yard line.

Debatable, both are incredibly successful local programs that have produced many college/pro players. Parkview's better at actually winning state championships but Catholic has been consistently successful in the state's largest classification and would probably have won a couple of titles(pre-public/private partition) had they not had to play West Monroe in the playoffs nor choked so royally against Acadiana in the 2006 semis. I'm a CHS grad but I'm not so biased I can't be objective about things that I observe pertaining to local high school football. It is what it is.

The wide receiver had an amazing catch in the back of the end zone with no time left to win.

All true.

And I'm pretty sure CHS has won the last 4 years.

Lol at Parkview

Yeah at a lower classification. That's not even a real state championship.

Says "LHSAA State Championship" does it not? And Parkview has defeated the exalted Catholic High multiple times since the school's agreed to play each other so IDK why you're dismissing them actually winning state championships. If CHS was truly great, they'd sweep Parkview easily and win more state championships but apparently choking in the postseason has become an attribute of the Bears football program. We're talking about a 3A football team defeating a 5A football team in Baton Rouge not once but multiple times yo.

Get your facts straight, Parkview defeated the Bears in CHS' state title year 2015 so "defeated last 4" narrative is factually incorrect

Yeah that's cool.

I'm just saying that winning a 3A state title is like winning an NCAA Division II National Championship.

Who cares?

Then 4/5 then. Whatever.

Is it not 4-3 CHS in the series?

Notre Dame, St. Thomas More, U-High, Lutcher, Vandebilt Catholic, Parkview, ED White, Evangel, John Curtis, Teurlings Catholic, East Ascension, St. Michael yeah winning the 3A title is sooo analogous to winning a DII football title, keep deluding yourself
