Just seems spatting with an 8 carat diamond ear ring is a little overboard and screams that he's pretty much a worthless professional

He's finished with Oak. The corpse just needs to say the word and they'll yank him.

This could be a good thing for JR! Go to an organization that actually has a track record of developing young QBs and a coach that has actually accomplished something outside of breaking an assistant's jaw. If not, too bad for JR. As long as he is in Oakland, he will never reach his potential. And yes, he has stunk up the place this year outside of the first game.

Agree 100%. This would be a second chance for JR.

Doubt anyone like you described would want him.

dude, you guys keep makin excuses for JR, he is a lazy mofo, plain and simple. He got by on his talent at LSU, had he taken his craft more seriously and played with some fire. LSU would have 3 NC's in this era. He did just what I thought he would do, ink that big deal, and is now on cruise control, and coaches are fed up with it, bad coaches or not.

Why not? When the kid actually had a coach who knew something about coaching QBs, he actually made progress. If you go back to last year with Greg Knapp, he looked good over the last few games. Knapp has coached Steve Young, Jeff Garcia, and Michael Vick. There is no one on the Raiders staff that has that kind of track record and it has showed in his performance. Knapp leaves and JR regresses. There is a correlation in my opinion.

Knapp never coached Russell, are sure about that? Russell was under Kiffins tutelage.

It would go a long way if he would call Nutri System.

I guess you don't know much about the raiders(or knapp) and you are looking for self fulfilling prophecies to make you feel good on your prediction. Knapp was there for two years before he left for seattle. Name a QB that the Raiders have drafted and developed in the last 20 years.

Look I don't make it a habit to follow Greg frickin Knapp around, I know he was at ATL with Mora and Vick, but thought that he was at Philly since then, so if he was at Oakland, then my bad.

as for your question , Marinovich comes to mind until he selfdestructed himslf out of the league, and there are others, but I'm to frickin tired to look them up. All I'm sayin is you just can't continue to blame the Raiders for Russells woes, they are a bad team true, but a player has to step up some time.

The thing about Russell is he has no help...

No coaching help and definitely no receiver help.

He has to do it ALL on his own. Great talent w/ no one to coach him up....
