Number #1 overall pick

In two years has barely played, has 21 tackles and a whopping 1 sack.

Is apparently made out of glass, chronically injured, injuries seem to take forever to heal.

Probably not what the Texans had in mind.

At what point do you write him off? How many more seasons of this does he get a pass for.

He missed a year with injury. And most people take 2 years to come back from acl. Patience

The dude had microfracture surgery in his knee. Let's not act like he sprained his ankle and is refusing to come back.

Now, if his production remains at the same pace for his career then yes, he is a huge bust. (especially since Mack has had a such a solid start to his career) But you need more time for someone who started his career getting his knee fricked up.

On a personal note I hate how the Texans use Clowney. They actually drop him back in coverage and throw him all around the line. (we tried that once or twice at SC and it never worked out). The dude is fast and strong, he is best suited on the end.

And UGA fans of all people should know he was more than just the Clowney hit. Hell, your QB admitted to having nightmares about him.

eta: Mack has a whopping 6 more tackles.

It is hard to call a 22 year old a bust especially with the potential he showed in college

And 3 more sacks.

And is the #1 DE in the NFL against the run.

Logic.

Like I mentioned, I think Clowney's career will be largely compared to Mack's. And with his success, Clowney looks worse.

And I'm not sure if Oakland uses Mack only at DE or not, but I also mentioned that Clowney is used all over the place. And is officially listed as an LB I think. I wish he was only a DE. Any where else is a waste.

Mack was moved to DE this season, he almost never plays LB this year. I could only dream of him having Watt on the opposite side instead of a rookie too. Goodness.

that does not make him a bust.

Jamarcus defines bust. holding out. thrown to the wolves after claiming the golden ring. Falls on face. That is a bust.

Clowney has a whole lot of quit in him. Don't see how the Texans didn't see that from his last year in college.

this. it was a horrible #1 pick. I only saw him a coupla times in college and he was a non factor both times. I doubt if he'll ever be that good.
