If Kentucky called Chris Beard would dump his girlfriend and pay for a bus ticket to Kentucky.

Like Alabama football that just settled for a meh guy?

A job like kentucky with crazy pressure isnt worth it to a lot of guys when there is similar money elsewhere.

Calipari should have no less than 4 national titles to his name. He should have gotten one with UMass in either 1995 or 1996, he should have gotten one with Derrick Rose at Memphis, and he should have at least two at Kentucky.

The Kentucky team of 96 was better.

But, 98, 2009, 2011, 2012(won), 2014, 2015 should have won all those.

1996 Kentucky is the best team I've ever seen. No argument here.

His 1995 roster was basically his 1996 team + Lou Roe. That team had no excuses.

I see some saying Steven’s?! I hate the NBA but the guy is the President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics by his own volition. That’s still a pretty serious title in the basketball world, especially since they are going to be really damn good for a while.

Good lord. SEC schools are batshite crazy obsessed with the amount of money they pour into football and basketball. How about buying some Beakers and Slide Rules and pretend to be Educational institutions.

He would get rehired immediately -

In April 2019, Calipari agreed to a "lifetime" contract with Kentucky, centered on a 10-year coaching extension, and a lifetime paid ambassadorship when he retires.[25]

I don’t see how he has been so bad the last 5 years with his recruiting classes it’s almost like he’s trying to fail or something

Couple that with all the one and done's, NIL crap, Transfer Portal. I really think you'll be seeing more and more the older big name coaches starting to retire like Saban did.

He would have to agree to pull a Nick Saban. One and dones are not mature enough to handle winning 6 in a row in the dance. Even a commentator last night said his a kids body had not filled out enough that he was getting pushed around in the paint.

I think it's gonna get ugly before he leaves Lexington. UK fans are ready to move on. The athletic department is probably ready to move on. Calipari's Texas size ego will never allow him to walk away this season.
