Where's the respect for Oregon State in the polls? I mean we beat them 45-14 but they put 66 on Wazzu and beat SC right? Give them some pub!

Last two MNC champions came from the SEC in blowout victories - this actually does mean something now as opposed to in 06 when USC was still easlily considered the best football program. SEC is a much tougher conference than the Pac-10. Even USC fans would admit this. Go through your gauntlet of a schedule with one loss in the SEC = you get in over a one loss USC team that plays in one of the worst conferences. Hell, the Moutain West is deeper top to bottom than the Pac-10.

Game could have went either way. Taking the 3.5 was the smart move. It didn't work out this time, but was the smart move.

No. I am way up for season. I would change little, and taking south carolina +3.5 was the smart play.
