I think you are wrong and my guess is that Clark will be advertising a variety of athletic and athleisure clothing to the women’s market, which is massive (even larger than the men’s market).

Women love workout clothing even though they don't actually work out, this is a brilliant endorsement for Nike

I'm sure there's more to follow.

There aren't many that can top Nike, but Lume sure does need a new spokesperson.

Ionescu’s shoe, which is the only real comparison, has done well enough for Nike

Isn’t her shoe one of the more popular ones being worn by NBA players in games?

Already has. There's a guy on tiktok that squawks every damn day about how it's unfair that black girls don't get the same treatment as Caitlyn Clark.

His name is quick. He's the race baiters of all race baiters.

It was always known she would make a ton more $$ through endorsements.

Maybe this should be the model for all pro sports going forward.

Is Cameron Brink #2 pick gonna make bank? .God-sister or whatever to Steph Curry.

Isn't it odd, she looks like a giant version of Cameron Diaz.

Dopplegangers come in all shapes and sizes.

Sure as hell more marketable to the masses than Britney Griner.

She's generated revenue for herself, sure. Remains to be seen what her long term impact on Nike sales will actually be.

Fair enough.

I already have a pair of Clarks.

Lolz. She shattered viewership records, packed every house on the road, and has a massive fan base. Tickets for the Iowa Northwestern game in Chicago were $1,500. WNBA teams already moving games to much larger arenas when she is in town. Her opening game will likely be the most watched wnba game of all time.

I got news for you, every young Midwest girls basketball player will want Caitlyn Clark's. It a HUGE untapped market.

What, like all 10 of them???

Caitlyn Clark's name will fade away the longer she plays in the WNBA.

Popularity in college is not the same as the WNBA. People pull for their state school with a passion that the WNBA can only dream about.

Good for Clark for cashing in now while she can.

Good for her.

She needed to cash in on her fame in the next 2-3 years. After that she’s going to be an afterthought playing in a league that no one cares about.

I feel like Nike is doing this for positive publicity knowing they take a wash on the ROI. The Clark show is over in 1 month. The WNBA will kill all of it for her

Dude get a grip. $20 million while amazing to us, is arse compared to the best NBA player shoe deals.

Nike got a steal. There are millions of girls in jr high and high school that will throw down for this shoe and they’ll even get the occasional beta boy.

Good for her, these will sell

She is way more marketable than the WNBA itself.

so it makes sense that she is going to be drawing more from endorsements than salary.

If she can bring the same eyeballs in the pros she did in college then she will change the game.
