Clark also ranks 1st in assists in the country also with 8.8/game. But, no one really talks about that. I do find it interesting that she ranks 131st in FG % and 55th in 3PT %.

I heard on the radio that Iowa made only one basket from the field in the 4th quarter but still won by 10. The fouls being called for Iowa were a joke.

It isn't just for Iowa, though. Middle Tennessee St had 31 fouls to LSU's 16. LSU shot 37 free throws to MtSt's 9. They were letting LSU get away with everything on the defensive end, particularly in the 2nd half, and calling every thing on Middle Tennessee St. This happens regularly across all levels of sports. It's not just a Caitlin Clark thing.

South Carolina is the worst at this. They get away with anything they want.

Great player but needs to cool it with the constant whining to the refs.

That's why you can't just look at the box score.

West Virginia was hyper-aggressive all game and got called for it...they have a male white coach...he's fair game.

The NCAA is afraid of Dawn Staley and let the Gamecocks get away with murder.

After MTSU took a 41-32 lead in the 3rd quarter LSU went on a 51-14 run to close it out. That run saw MTSU get called for 18 fouls to 7 against LSU. It also saw LSU get awarded 30 FT's to MTSU's 2. Before that run no MTSU player had more than two fouls, three starters fouled out in the run. I watched the majority of this game hoping to see the Lady Tigers coming into shape heading into this weekend against UCLA and Iowa, and honestly the second half was almost unwatchable with how it was officiated, which was sad because the first two quarters were incredible back and forth between two evenly matched teams.

Tiger fans can complain about other teams getting calls, but if the games in the PMAC were officiated fairly then the defending champs probably don't make it out of the first round or to the sweet 16 at all.

Gotta hand it to Clark, she can hit the shot from pretty much anywhere.

I agree with that. With that being said, she is a horrible defender. Alexis Morris took her to the woodshed last year.

No wonder she averages in the 30s. Good lord.
Her TS% is .614

Imagine if someone started the same thread and said that about Pistol Pete, who put up 37 shots per game in college.

Except 37 was a real number.

Lmao. LSU won by 27, Iowa was tied with 2 minutes left. Not even close to similar situations. LSU is easily winning both of those games (as they did).

What an idiotic take. West Virginia was playing straight up thug ball and getting away with it for what reason I don't know. A player gives thumbs down right in front of the ref and doesn't get a technical? The refs were more than lenient with the way West Virginia played Iowa and I'm not a fan of Iowa.

Yet there was a play late in the 3rd or early 4th where a MTSU literally pushed Morrow to the ground (extended her arms) in front of the ref and nothing was called

Yeah, because the officiating did not spin on it's head and lead to a laughably outlandish disparity in fouls going one way after LSU got down 9 in the third quarter. I agree LSU most likely beats Rice, but that game Sunday was on the verge of getting out of hand the other way before the landslide of foul calls. LSU scored 51 pts after they got down by 9. Half of those points were at the FT line. The lead was erased via a 3pt and FT's and MTSU having to protect girls who picked up more fouls in the 5:00 they had the lead after half than they did the rest of the game. Both LSU and Iowa were aided by fouls going decisively their way when they were down. I'm glad both advanced as it makes the tournament more interesting, as well as keeps the Lady Tigers alive for the chance to repeat. I'm not naive to what is going on, nor does the result being what I wanted take away the empathy I have for the ladies for WV and MTSU who do and probably should feel cheated,

South Carolina is the class of Women's basketball and teams like LSU and Iowa are being helped as needed so there are ratings this weekend and next.

There's an interesting dynamic going on in women's CBB regarding style of play now...Clark is being celebrated for her skill...

...but the blueprint to win apparently is just to have big players who foul but can't shoot a lick beyond 15 feet...and daring the refs to call them out it.

Who said it?

You foul enough, they stop calling fouls.
