You have to be smarter than this.

In the fall of 2004, while student-athlete 1 was competing for the institution, student-athlete 1's step-father and agency partner A discussed the formation of a sports agency and marketing company featuring student-athlete 1. Subsequently, student-athlete 1 entered into an agreement with sports agency partners A and B to establish a sports agency to negotiate future marketing and professional sports contracts. [Note: The agreement may be inferred from student-athlete 1's subsequent

The written agreement called for the parents to pay agency partner B $1,400 per month (of the approximately $4,500 monthly cost) plus utilities until such time when student-athlete 1 would pay the difference to agency partners A and B with money from the income he would earn once he became a professional athlete.

However, the parents resided at the property at no cost until April 2006.

all of this is stealing.

USC would not be on probation if he and his parents were not thieves.

I'm still cool with Reggie. He screwed up, but no more than many other big time players at big time programs do. He just got caught, and primarily because his step-Dad got greedy. It wasn't Reggie that made the deal with Lake, it was his step-Dad.

Reggie didn't report it, and Reggie should have.

Reggie also accepted freebies that he shouldn't have.

But all of these transgressions don't take away for me, the great memories of what he did on the field.

Those transgressions just take away his eligibility.

Unfortunately that's screwing a lot of kids over that had nothing to do with it, but if nothing else, we got A New Era at USC now because of it.

(lousy pun intentional).

Still not stealing.

If you give a girl an engagement ring and then she breaks up with you, did she steal the ring?

if she signed a written agreement she did.

Hell, even the USC fans know his family are thieves:

Reggie could have paid all of the money back once he signed with the Saints but he didn't so he is a stupid thief.

Greed is inherent in human nature. Hopefully he's learned from it.

There is no difference between a verbal and a written agreement except that a written one is easier to prove. Both are equally binding.

So you would call your ex-fiance a thief. Class act, brah.

Not stealing; lying and cheating, yes, but not stealing.

How is he a thief if you admitted that he didn't make the deal?

According to pat Haden, USA Today mischaracterized the converstaion. Bush did not apologize or admit anything according to Haden--still

quote:

For now, it appears that Haden merely disagrees with the characterization of his explanation as an apology from Bush. "Never did he say I'm sorry or I apologize," Haden said, per the Los Angeles Times (via CFT). "Never did he say, 'I lied to the NCAA or I took stuff.'
