People cling to Fat Pat on here likes he's some BR native when he actually hates BR and hauled arse ASAP.

A lot of professionals can be a "douche" at work .
Maybe he is that way on tour, but he comes across as
a good guy in his personal life. I'm a Bubba fan.

all the people calling Bubba Watson a douche need to re-evaluate their position on him. I think they must just be haters. I just don't see it (the doucheness).
I know someone who has played a lot of Amateur golf for the better part of 20 years. He played with Bubba on multiple occasions in the early 2000s. I take his first hand experience over some tears and high fives on TV after winning the Masters.
I just hope he was serious about becoming a better person in his post round interview. Because the guy is a grade A douchebag.

I've heard Bubba was a douche bag dating back to when he played the Adams event at Ellendale about 10 years ago.

my good buddy looks just like BW minus the mole on his face.
Really eerie the similarities!!

Having a headcover of yourself is douche like! According to him he has never hit a bad shot. It is always someone elses fault. I tried my hardest to like him becasue I know Teddy personally, but I just can't.

Not true...here he is telling Steve Elkington to kiss his arse on national tv
sounded like he deserved it. I've followed Elk at several tournaments and he seems like a dick

Kind of like Jack Nicklaus? Stupid spike mark.
I've read an article before on Bubba about how much "feel" he uses in his game. It tells about how he can stand on the range and be handed clubs and he can tell the difference in loft, and slight adjustments that were made just by hitting a few balls. People rip on him for his outburst with his caddie last year, but do you guys not think that he knows when he hits a wedge how far it is going to travel? His second shot that bounced over the green, I'm certain that he knew exactly how far he hit it and they probably did have a misread on the yardage.
I know his reaction was not good, and it was caught on camera, but I chalk that up to a bad moment in the middle of an intensely pressure spot. As said earlier, it's not any different than a qb and receiver getting into it on the field.

So, he hit his first ball in the water on purpose?

He hit his first ball the length expected. The problem was the wind was stronger than his caddie felt and the ball did not clear the hazard. Bubba thought the longer club was needed, but his caddie told him that the club he hit would be enough to get through the wind.

Sounds like he should find a new caddie then

I don't know, Bubba now has an extra green jacket that he can share with his caddie.

He's a douche, no question

Bubba won a mini tour event at Ellendale in Houma and called the course a goat track.
I think he's tried to reform himself, but you can always see that volcano about to erupt. He'll face some adversity at some point and just explode.
That said, that drive on 13 yesterday was unreal!

Because he was walking on the other side of the fairway when Bubba was getting ready to play? That happens in every round on the PGA Tour. Elk has definitely shown his own arse a few times, but I don't know how you can say he deserved anything based on that video. I can say that Bubba came off as a douche for acting like that.

He may be a bit of an arse but who at that level isnt. The guy owns an original General Lee car and a Hover Craft golf cart.

typically behind or to the back of the player, Bubba is left-handed and on the right side of the fairway. Although some players are way over sensitive. I had a guy chew me out for walking while he was hitting, I had already hit and started towards the green. He was a fairway and a half over after a big pull, I frankly didn't even know where he was. I'm pretty much oblivious when I'm hitting the ball, horns and shite could be going off and I wouldn't know it.
