Any particular reason that USM has hosted the tournament three years in a row?

Go Dawgs!!! Hopefully we can do half as well against Duplantier as we did on Friday. Let's go!

Thanks.

I thought maybe it rotated between the schools but then I saw that USM had hosted the last 3 years.

Yeah that's what I would guess as well, but I really don't know.

Lunceford HBP
Gladu E5, Runners advance to second and 3rd
Daigle K swinging
Love K looking
Diaz K swinging advances to 1st on WP, Lunceford scores, Gladu to 3rd
(Duplantier error on throwdown to second, Diaz to second, Gladu scores)
Hall K swinging

Mid 2 2-0
Duplantier pitched well that inning. Just got unlucky. with those errors and a ball the catcher should have stopped.

Would y'all rather more frequent updates (every batter), this, or no updates at all? It also looks like gametracker might be slightly ahead of me, so y'all could also just use that.

Half inning updates are great. Carry on, and go Tech.

I had to go look to see why the next update is taking so long. Tech fans don't wanna know.

Bot 2

DiCaprio 4-3
Gray 1B on a bouncer through the 34 hole
Wunderlich Ks
Teykl 1B to center, E8 allows Gray to score, Teykl stays at first
Lewis 2B down the right field line, advances to 3rd on throw home, Teykl scores
Kopycinski 1B up the middle, Lewis scores
Warren 2B chopped over third baseman's head, Kopycinski to third
Chandler BB, bases loaded
Proctor GS to straight away center on full count, Kopycinski scores, Warren scores, Chandler scores, Proctor scores
DiCaprio 2B
(Pitching change)
Gray BB after getting to an 0-2 count, 4 straight balls...
Wunderlich 1B, DiCaprio scores, Gray to second
Teykl 1B, Gray scores for the second time, Wunderlich to second
Lewis 6-4 FC, 3 outs finally...

End 2 2-8
Diehl out after 1 2/3. Sullivan in and promptly walks someone and gives up an RBI single. Serious collision on the play at home when Gray scored. Both players shaken up, but get up okay. Coaches both came on the field arguing about the catcher being in the base path and the runner not attempting to slide. Nothing came of it.

I'm gonna stop with the updates. I'll start updating again if the game gets closer or if something interesting happens.

Yeah that inning was rough. Rice was finding all the holes and hitting the ball hard.

Also, Duplantier hasn't given up a hit yet and had 4 K's last inning... Ugh

When you're headed for the losers bracket, at least lose bad fast so you can throw less important pitchers and save key arms.

ETA: Or immediately hit a 2-run bomb to get back into it.

HR Lunceford 2-run HR after Jon Washam singles up the middle. 2 outs.

Also it's 4-9. I forgot to update Rice's last run.

Still not close enough for me to start updating again.

Edit: It was a hanging curveball that was hit to right center that just barely cleared the fence.

Inning getting interesting now. Runners on 1st and 3rd after Daigle K's. Ball is literally kicked (unintentionally) by Tech player but I guess he was still in the box so it was okay. Ball goes down 1B line in the infield, and catcher makes errant throw to 1st allowing for runners to now be at 1st and 3rd.

Rice had bases loaded there with 1 out. Tech managed to find some groundouts there to get them out unscathed. Idk how they hold back the floodgates if the pitching continues like this.

End 3 4-9
