They could have Kevin Love by the trade deadline. That's the thing. Love was going to play with Lebron one way or the other. They could have afforded to be patient with Wiggins in the beginning of the season. Love hasn't exactly lit the world on fire. I still stand by my assertion that Cavs panicked.

It's not like they get nothing if Love leaves. They get a shite load of cap space that they can do some damage with. They have Irving, LeBron, and Mozgov with some solid depth. Should Love leave, they could get a few good players to replace him, or they can get a top FA that would fit their needs. Personally, I think it would be better for them if he does leave.

Your assertion doesn't make sense though. What your saying is Cavs should have drafted Wiggins and kept him until February and see if it worked out and he was good. If he sucked, trade him for Love.

Why would Minny take the kid for Love he ended up looking like a bust?

Also, even if they did why would you bring a huge piece like that in 20 games before the playoffs? It's taken 40+ games for these guys to finally mesh and your saying it would have been smart to just bring him in in the last 3rd of the season?

The Cavs want to win NOW. That's the only thing that matters. LeBron didn't come back to Cleveland to just build a good team over the years and retire where he started. He came back to win the 1st championship for Cleveland sports in who knows how long.

I don't agree it's a good thing he leaves. They need a stretch 4 who can play defense. Kevin Love is the best stretch 4 in the league and one of the best rebounders. His defense is lacking though. There aren't many stretch 4's out there than are available.

Their only other need is a backup PG and maybe a backup C until Verajo is healthy (most likely never.)

Who are some stretch 4's who they could possibly sign in FA?

but hey 2 for 12 isn't so bad. not as good as 6 for 13 with 3 years off before being owner-player, but who is counting.

Yeah! What kind of loser isn't even good enough to be considered better than the universal GOAT! SO BAD!

He'll be a Laker
Kobe will run him off just like Howard if Love doesn't learn to play good defense. Kobe isn't having that lazy garbage.

I don't know about LA. Everyone says that Love is a really introverted person. I don't know if the lure of the city would impact him. Money probably would though...
