I obviously know this is not the exact same situation, and it’s very rare that people all of a sudden become great, but there are examples like Russell Westbrook (averaged 3, 0.5, and 0.5 his freshman year) who ended up being great.

If someone is going to turn the corner, I do believe it would be a super athletic guy who went thru a pretty traumatic freshman year.

He is way overhyped to be getting that kind of attention just because he is Lebron’s son. I am glad he is still able to play after having cardiac arrest.

It’s pretty awful when you consider the fact he played 20 mins a game. The chances of him ever being an above average college player are slim, you thinking he will probably be really good is laughable this point.

He should have sat the whole season out and started fresh next year instead of rushing back with no practice on a terrible team.

Garrett Temple had these mpg/ppg splits for his career

Freshman: 33.5/5.1
Sophomore: 34.3/8.6
Junior: 34.4/6.4
Senior: 30.3/7.1

He's been in the NBA now for ~15 years. To say it's laughable that a true freshman can still be really good as an upper classman if he stays and develops is...laughable, especially one that went into cardiac arrest right before the season started and wasn't cleared until December. Simply put, writing off a true freshman forever is dumb

95% of true freshmen in college basketball kinda suck. Burying the kid because his dad is a massive douche is wild

He should have tried to play a different sport. He’s just not that good and he’ll always be in the shadow of his douchebag dad.

Jordan, Shaq, Pippen, Walton and many others had kids who played college.

Why does Bronny get so much attention?
