Almost 6 ypc and 2 TD's against one of the nation's better rush defenses is supposed to be a knock on the guy?

No. Its not a knock. "In that case" were the key words. Saying all the other incredible(and better) games Fournette had wouldn't count if we apply the same logic the poster tried to with Boykin.

Was at the game last night and it was a blast. Boykin is definitely special. Doctson is very special too. The chemistry those two have coupled with serious speed at multiple skills positions makes the TCU offense so powerful.

The fact that Doctson is now frequently mentioned during games as a potential Heisman candidate (although he wont be there) IMO hurts Boykin in the Heisman race. It reminds everyone that Boykin's accomplishments are a combination of his ability, the system he is in, and his receivers talents even though he is talented and extremely athletic. His highlights often end with Josh Doctson making a huge catch complete with tremendous YAC.

On the other hand, LF has arguably the best O line in NCAA but that really gets minimal press. LF's accomplishments appear to be largely due to his freakish physical stature and ability. His highlights rarely contain the line or FB blocking for him and certainly never end with a lineman in the picture.

Despite a 3 year career with over 12,000 yards total offense attributable to his name, I think Boykin does not get the Heisman unless LF self implodes.
