Bowl games between now and championship

Why are there bowl games being played tomorrow?
After today's games who really wants to watch teams like Tennessee or UCLA in mediocre games? I'll probably watch but I'd be more interested had they been played earlier on in the bowl slate.

To add to that, shouldn't the games today, other than maybe the cotton/rose/sugar have been primetime before?
Mizzou/Minny and Wisky/Auburn are top 25 matchups. They could have a couple of night slots for the primetime those 4 teams deserve

Yea it used to mean something to play in a New Year's bowl game. Now there's a bunch of shite bowls being played after the marquee bowls which is stupid

I love the playoff, which was great today, but they need to fix the rest of the bowl slots.
