It is not all glam and rock star life for tour pros and their families. Billy's wife just revealed her battle with alcohol.

Brittany Horschel - battle with alcohol - Golf Digest

Sucks - hope see can get clean for the long run. Just shows that everyone has battles - even the rich and famous and their families.

I have seen drugs and alcohol ruin families...and god knows I have my personal battles but I hope the best for her.

Never met him - he caught hell a few weeks ago for "throwing" his club at his caddie - who has not done that. ( I think that was him)

He had more one handed swing finishes in the final round yesterday than I would have in a year but he won...I woulda choked.

Regardless of his attitude, sucks for him that his wife is battling this - it is not always glitz and glamor on the PGA Tour.

I agree with this....
My buddy has been around a good bit of PGA players and Caddies due to his line of work and has said that Billy Ho is cocky and arrogant...FWIW

people are people no matter how much or how little they have. we are all susceptible to what makes us feel better in the moment.

He's from the trashy part of Florida. You can tell he has that in him. I volunteered for the Zurich and walked with his group one year. He's a past champion and I will say he was extremely nice to all of the volunteers that were on the first tee. Called them all by name and was very concentrated on what they had to say.

So she got out of rehab in July and has a kid in April, just over 9 months later. I guess that's one way to make sure she stays sober after leaving rehab.

Mingo, my experiences while volunteering at the Zurich with Billy were always good. Thanked us every day and carried on conversations with us each day at our tee. Most guys were like that unless they were playing like shite or hungover.

I hate these threads where people post about how a certain athlete is a d bag or whatever. Not all athletes are going to personable and outgoing. Doesn't make them d bags.

I played in the pro-am at the shell Houston open and horschel was one group Removed from ours and I saw him talking more to his amateur partners than a lot of the other pros. Before the round he was joking and laughing with a bunch of pros on the practice green and they looked like they were buds. Just from that few minutes of observing him, he seemed to be a "life of the party" kind of guy to me.

You aren't going to last long on Tour if you don't have a bit of an ego. These guys are good and they know it.
