Bill has always advocated free flow...Like Dutch soccer in the 70s.
People marveled at the recent Spurs teams and passing but 77 Portland was like that...Even the Knicks.
Pop didn't invent passing basketball.
Bill is trying to say basketball was stagnant and about superstars when it should be about all 5 players on the court.

Well he did change the game. There is no doubt about it.
Almost every team now tries to emulate those Suns teams on offense.

There are several guys who I think should be credited with offensive basketball being what it is today at least at the pro level
