The resignation of West Virginia football coach Bill Stewart is "imminent," a university source told ESPN.com's Ivan Maisel on Friday.
Earlier Friday, ESPN's Joe Schad reported that WVU leaders were pondering whether terminating the coach-in-waiting scenario it created this year with offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen would be in the best interests of the program. Holgorsen is scheduled to succeed Stewart after the coming season.

It's time for Mike Leach on roids to take over. Holgerson is a wild one and things are going to be interesting for WVU with him as coach.

Holgs is going to meltdown up there, he use to come to tulsa a couple time a week to go drink and it will be interesting to see how he handles the spotlight

You don't think he will be successful?

I do think he will be successful as long as he can handle the pressures of being a HC. He is the perfect mold for a coordinator and has always been able to avoid the spotlight and go do what he wants. Those days are over and it'll be interesting to see how he handles it. Also I think he will destroy the big east once he gets some players that fit his system in there. I don't expect him to put up big numbers on O this year like he did at Ok State last year though.

I actually completely disagree. He’ll be more than fine this year on offense. The guy could teach blind squirrels how to execute an explosive offense. He’ll also have a ton of explosiveness at the skill positions as well as an experienced QB in Geno Smith who physically has everything you could ask for. I’m so glad LSU plays WVU early because I see them getting on a roll late and possibly sneaking into a BCS Bowl with their easy schedule outside of LSU.

I agree "Nostradamus".WVU has plenty of talent to put up big numbers this year.Glad this is out of the way before summer workout begin.

I think it's unrealistic to think he's going to put up the same types of numbers that his offense did at OSU last yr, he walked into the perfect situation with 3 all americans at the QB RB and WR positions and the best O-Line in the big 12. Holgs is gonna be good and he'll have you guys scoring points but not like he did this past yr IMO
