Miami and maybe South Carolina. Rest will never be relevant on a regular basis

Must be for men's tennis or something. Only way the list makes sense.

Nothing about Texas Tech makes them a sleeping giant. Terrible location to go to college.
For Big 10, I would go Maryland.

Rattler looked really good towards the end of the season and I think he's the only returning starter of note in the SEC East. I could see it.

Doesn't a sleeping giant have to be a giant at some time in their history?
Miami and Nebraska are the only qualifiers here. And why would South Carolina and Texas Tech ever come up?

South Carolina has been trying to be good unsuccessfully for 25 years

I don't know. I consider a sleeping giant to be a program that has the potential to be great due to various factors (location, money, fan support, etc) that just isn't yet for whatever reason.
UCLA is an obvious pick too.

Maryland's athletic department is broke. Despite taking in $12 million in student fees, they have had budget shortfalls the last two years. A few seasons ago they had to drop sports after having to pay the ACC buyout.
Nebraska will benefit more than most with NIL

Miami, of course. The jury is still out on Cristobals coaching, but he's an elite recruiter.
There's no reason Nebraska can't have Wisconsin/Iowa like success. Maybe even compete for a title with the playoffs expanding to 12 teams.

Can people please stop posing shite from that Twitter account? It's blatantly nothing more than rage bait.

Im thinking Kentucky with stoops or ole miss with kiffin would be better picks.

Texas Tech: the seventh choice of Texas high school students, 500 miles from civilization, in one of the worst college towns in America, and the lowest ranked school academically in the Big 12 (including the incoming additions). I would argue that they are already overachieving and only became relevant for a little while because of Coach Leach.
And no G5 team can be called a “sleeping giant” with a straight face.

Sone would argue that's a huge plus these days.

Do people say this just because they're parroting what they've been told, or because they had a bad road trip there as a visiting fan?
I like Lubbock and have always liked Lubbock. If you can't have a good time there, that's a you problem.

I actually thought OM as well. Sure, they have rinky dink facilities and are undoubtedly a “lil bro” school, but Mississippi has good talent and they’re also surrounded by states with elite talent. They have zero academic hurdles for recruits, hot coeds, and Oxford is a good enough college town to attract recruits.
Still a little bit surprised they weren’t able to snag Arch. That may have more to do with Kiffin than the school.

Idk…I was there for work a handful of years ago in early February. Froze my arse off. It’s isolated from everything and just kind of depressing.

Goodluck to USCe recruiting against Clemson, UGA, Tenn, UF etc etc. There is some talent there, but there will never be a giant with Kiby and Dabo so close.
