I admit, I was a little cold on Simmons during college, but man he's gonna be special in the near future. Are the Sixers a dark horse All League Pass team?

He was a star at LSU. He had one of the best freshman seasons on record.
Our coach and Tim Quarterman are to blame.
People can't seem to get over the fact Ben is extremely cool headed on the floor and they misunderstand that as him not caring. He was great at LSU and I thank him for his time there.

Quartermanwas a terrible locker room guy and straight up quit giving a frick this year.
And I don't hate any of them. TQ was just a textbook example of poor body language, demeanor, and locker room fun sponge.

I'm not mad, although there are a lot of fans that hate the kid for some reason. The same ones that defended Martin and Mickey to the grave think Ben is terrible. I said it last year, enjoy having the #1 pick at LSU, because unfortunately it's not common

I, and most of the posters on TD, shot way better than that when I was 16.
At age 17 I could make from four to six 12 to 15 foot jumpers in a row in a game. FT's basically. Its his f'ing job. I was suffering from sexual tension and hate for trigonometry and resentment of my damn physics teacher and his penchant for trick questions. And I still managed to practice basic shots. What's Simmons excuse?.
Simmons has had a month to practice. Nothing to show for it.

Get off your lazy butt & check out Grant Hill's shooting stats his entire first season & most of the second. Yet, odd, he DEVELOPED into a great shooter & became a multi time all pro. Good Lord. When you were 16, were you playing in an all white team with no one over 5'10"?

His passing at LSU was better than any other college player. Best I've seen. But his teammates couldn't convert alot of times.

There are matadors that play better defense than Simmons did at LSU.
