I would be interested to see a statistic of how many people drop from boot camp. No branch of service has a difficult boot camp. You just show up and don't frick up and ride it out. Navy boot camp was a joke though. The worst part was just boredom. I work with marines every day. I promise any average joe with no mental illness or physical disability can pass their boot camp.

Their base pay is the same as everyone else that is the same rank. I'm sure they get hazard pay and what not. And then if they know a language then that is extra money up to $1000 a month, but for that kind of money you have to be perfect in 3 different languages.
