Baylor/Riverside's Rico Gathers arrested for theft at Wal-Mart

For some reason I view this as slightly different than someone stealing a bunch of shite to sell later. I mean no one is selling a trash can on the black market. This stuff is clearly for personal use. Maybe Baylor shouldn't stop paying guys immediately after their eligibility is up.

Colleges should definitely be paying these guys. I mean, c'mon, free room and board, and they still feel the need to steal and beat their Old ladies.

Rico is married with a kid and lives off campus, still no reason for this. People will start saying this is why they need to pay athletes. I believe the $200,000 of free education and living he gets is payment enough.
I'm sure if found guilty he'll get a suspension but being released is what should happen.
