Basketball fans who don't like the NBA

WTF is wrong with you? I don't get it. I know a couple of friends like this. I don't really understand their reasonings (no defense, no effort). I don't find them to be true. Anybody have a good reason how they can consider themselves basketball fans but not like watching the best players in the world play?

No defense
No hustle until playoffs
Regular season is a glorified pre-season (any team worth a damn makes playoffs)
Almost all blacks
ETA:
Tickets are absurdly over priced
Season too long (time period)
Atmosphere doesn't compare to college
Players are "thugs"
Playoffs seem to last two months
What I miss?

Is it no defense or is it really good offense? And there is a little lack of hustle in the regular season but I think that can be said about college basketball too. Or do collegiate players play 100% in December and 115% in March?

It's not cool for white people from say, the South, to like an organization that's mostly black (though, like Port said, there are plenty of whites). That's why you always have the same group of people chiming in and declaring proudly that they hate the NBA as if they're taking some kind of moral stand.

I like the NBA. College basketball is too sloppy to watch in my opinion. And I'm a Spurs fan AKA the most boring team in the league.

Yeah, but they also love college football. Of course, a lot of times the QB is white and the players wear helmets, so you cannot see the players' faces.
