I'm not sure about everyone else, but generally it's just getting lucky and knowing the right people with an extra ticket. Living in Ga is definitely a big advantage for me in that.

I've been applying for lottery tickets for several years now. No luck for me but a good friend of mine actually won some this year.

If you just want to get on the course show up on a practice day and hangout near the gate in the afternoon. Many times patrons leaving the event will give away their used ticket which you can use to get back in.

That is pretty much all I want to do. I would actually much prefer to go on a practice day so I can take photos and explore the entire course and take everything in.
If I don't score some tickets in the next few years, I'll probably plan a trip and try something like that. With full intention on paying whatever I need to if that doesn't work.
