regression is gonna bitch slap him. His BAbip is an insanely high .443. League average is right around .300 and CJ's career BAbip coming into the season was around .344. Quite frankly he's been having awesome luck this year because CJ isn't that good a hitter. He's incredibly streaky though. That's how he hit .308 for the Astros in '10 and dropped off to .251 in '11 with roughly the same number of ABs.

his defense at third is serviceable.

without having watched a ton of Braves games this year, I'd have to say he's been lucky there too. His defense is terrible. If he hasn't put it on display yet, trust me he will. I used to cringe any time a ball was hit his way.

He's mainly been serviceable because he played a bunch of 1B while Freeman was out. He's been pretty bad at 3B defensively lately in particular. But given that he's a terrible defender as you mention, not surprising.

Still, he's a solid half of a platoon with Juan. He's clearly not going to hit .350 all year, but he should be able to hit close to .300 against lefties, which is what we need from him.

He's fine for a right handed platoon guy at third. Which is exactly what we needed

He talked about how they built the bullpen and most interestingly that without injury one of the current 5 starters will go to the bullpen instead of AAA
