When these celebrities start calling out what's going on in Chicago I don't want to hear their opinions, and they are only giving them for popularity.

My sons godfather lives in Chicago and another friend is a Chicago PD, it's outrageous the killing going on in the black neighborhoods, but we hear nothing. I don't want to hear from hypocritical celebrities who don't live in the real world.

You don't hear about it because it's not necessarily "exciting headlines" for the news to release. But there are plenty of athletes who devote a lot of their time to helping these young black males make it out of the hood and do something positive with their lives. Meaning they are actually doing something about it, actions speak louder than words you know.

But to your point, helping them make it out of the hood is one thing but why not try to fix the hood. Imagine if all these "civil rights" leaders went to these neighborhoods and spoke out against what was going on and not just passing the blame.

There are poor areas of people all over the country of all races. They are filled with drugs and poverty and ignorance. But the violence and killing of the black neighborhoods is becoming astounding.

What exactly is race baiting? This board seemingly wants to forget that racr exists sometimes. And I wonder why? I wish we could ignore it too, but when every seeming disparity can be broken down along racial lines, it leaves a conversation to be had.

Essentially posters want to run away from what we created. As if that's a healthy solution for ANY problem in life.

Don't you find it the least bit ironic that people are criticizing the police for not doing enough to stop the rioting last night?

I mean, what cop would want to deal with that under the circumstances?

We need to make examples of the looters & savages whether they be black OR white.

WE includes everyone. I don't think that everyone here is racist or creates racism.

It is well documented that most, if not all, race-baiters are "leaders" of the black community nationwide (ex. Al & Jesse) They perpetuate this racism by playing the race card in every situation possible in order to drum up noise and get in the news. How many white "leaders" do you see playing the race card on a regular basis???

All of these athletes/celebrities need to stick to their chosen profession and keep their comments to themselves. We'd all be better off if we all learned to form our own opinions and not just tag on to some "celebrity" opinion because they are popular.

I like how this board calls everyone idiots, as if there's a nobel laureate on here. Nobody here is smarter than everyone else.
